The silicon photonics process design kit contains the mask layers, building blocks and design rules as developed by Analog Photonics for the Multi Project Wafer runs offered by AIM Photonics at the SUNYPoly facilities
This PDK is a plug-in library for PhoeniX Software solutions OptoDesigner and Aspic and supports the Multi Project Wafer runs provided by AIM Photonics. The PDK is developed by Analog Photonics. Furthermore, it is supporting the interface between Synopsys' OptSim Circuit and OptoDesigner. In addition to the photonic elements from the standard PhoeniX Software generic design library, the PDK contains technology specific information like mask layer names, design rules, validated building blocks, s-matrix compact models, die sizes and GDS file settings.
The AIM Photonics Institute is offering affordable access to fabrication runs, organized by MOSIS in Multi Project Wafer runs. The schedule and details can be found at www.aimphotonics.com.
