The user manual at phoenixbv.com/doc is a great way to get started with OptoDesigner, learn the basic concepts and see example scripts for specific features. A substantial part of the reference for elements, functions, classes and libraries is also here.
If you are using a PDK, navigate through the manual's homepage to the PDK manual. This manual is complementary to the design manual of the foundry and provides details about the implementation of the PDK in OptoDesigner.
A tip: Don't overlook the search option in the top left of the page. It might be helpful for you.
